Mongolian Teachers and Students Win the Cambridge Science Competition

Ulaanbaatar, February 20, 2024 /MONTSAME/. For the first time, the work of biology teachers and students from Mongolia won first place in the Cambridge Science Competition.
Specifically, the Cambridge Upper Secondary Science Competition is held annually among schools with the Cambridge program. Out of 270 teams participating in this Competition in 2023, "Biological Assessment of Water Quality of the Selbe River in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia" was conducted by ninth grade students of "Shine Ue" school with teachers S. Tamir and D. Chinzorig. The work won first place from Mongolia for the first time. They won not only the Best in East Asia November 2023 Award, but also the Best in World November 2023 Award.
While researching topics for the competition, the students relied on the Mongolian State University of Education and the National University of Mongolia, and received advice and support from their department teachers. The teachers and students of “Shine Ue” school conducted a month-long study on “Biological Assessment of Water Quality of the Selbe River.”
