PM Oyun-Erdene to Participate in 22nd Meeting of SCO Member States' Council of Heads of Government
Ulaanbaatar, October 23, 2023 /MONTSAME/. The Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai is to participate in the extended Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states. The Meeting will take place in Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic, on October 24-26, 2023. Additionally, Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene will pay a Working Visit to the Kyrgyz Republic during this period.
In its capacity as an Observer State of the SCO, Mongolia has consistently taken part in the extended sessions of both the Council of Heads of State and the Council of Heads of Government. During these sessions, Mongolia has actively voiced its state on various cooperation matters.
In the upcoming extended Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the SCO Member States, Prime Minister L. Oyun-Erdene will express Mongolia's state on its relations and collaboration with the SCO. He will underscore Mongolia's commitment to enhancing cooperation with SCO Member and Observer States, as well as Dialogue Partners. Furthermore, he will express Mongolia's eagerness to play an active and constructive role in the various fields of trade, economy, infrastructure, roads, and transportation within the region.
During his Visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolian Premier Oyun-Erdene will engage in discussions with Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Aqılbek Japarov, pay a courtesy call on Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, and Speaker of the Supreme Council Nurlanbek Shakiev.
The agenda for these meetings will encompass in-depth discussions on the expansion of bilateral relations and cooperation, with a particular focus on enhancing economic aspects. This Visit to the Kyrgyz Republic marks the first official visit by the Prime Minister of Mongolia to the country.
Furthermore, Prime Minister L. Oyun-Erdene intends to hold bilateral meetings with the Prime Ministers of the Russian Federation, the People's Republic of China, and Uzbekistan.
