Visa Waiver Agreement Signed with the Republic of Maldives
A visa waiver agreement has been established between Mongolia and the Republic of Maldives. The Agreement between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of the Republic of Maldives on Mutual Exemption of Visa Requirements for Holders of Diplomatic, Official and Regular Passports was signed by Mr. D.Ganbold, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of India and Mr. Ibrahim Shaheib, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Maldives to the Republic of India in Delhi, India on August 17.
Mongolia and the Republic of Maldives established diplomatic relations on August 11, 1985. The Agreement on Mutual Exemption provides for visa-free travel for all types of passport holders of both countries for up to 30 days to the other country and is awaited to play a pivotal role in the further development of the relations and cooperation between the two countries.
