Ulaanbaatar, June 15, 2023 /MONTSAME/. Multilateral cooperation issues, such as the post-Covid economic cooperation in the region and power grid connectivity for the energy transition in Northeast Asia, are considered within the agenda of the Ulaanbaatar Dialogue, the two-day conference. We have briefly interviewed B. Mandkhai, Director General of Multilateral Cooperation Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia on this ongoing conference.
She said, “In recent years, the agenda of the Ulaanbaatar Dialogue has been broadened, covering the economic issues. This year’s conference is special as it is touching upon the energy issues within the framework of economic cooperation. I am glad to see that many international researchers and experts, who engage in the economic and energy sector, have come to participate in this conference. Thus, we are expecting that the active and fruitful discussions will revolve around these issues.”
“In addition to the scholars, since 2017, high-ranking political officials have started attending in the Ulaanbaatar Dialogue, demonstrating the heightened significance of the conference. Over 60 representatives from some 20 countries, scientists, representatives of more than 10 international organizations, ambassadors in Mongolia, and heads and representatives of diplomatic missions are taking part in this year’s conference.
