Willingness Expressed to Cooperate in Major Projects

Ulaanbaatar. January 20. /MONTSAME/. On January 19, Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, the President of Mongolia, received Alexey Vasilyevich Gordeyev, the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, at the State Palace.
President U. Khurelsukh noted the successful expansion of relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Russia to a comprehensive strategic partnership and emphasized the importance of increasing trade turnover between the two countries and making progress in large-scale economic projects. Moreover, he highlighted that cooperation between the two countries' legislative bodies is a crucial part of the relations and praised the work to establish a new inter-parliamentary cooperation mechanism.
Deputy Chairman of the State Duma A. V. Gordeyev expressed interest in further expanding the comprehensive strategic partnership with Mongolia and cooperating with the infrastructure projects implemented in Mongolia.
Both sides expressed willingness to work together to implement projects such as natural gas pipelines, expressways, and railway reform within the framework of the trilateral cooperation between Mongolia, Russia, and China.
