FOREIGN MINISTER PARTICIPATING IN 27TH OSCE MINISTERIAL COUNCIL MEETING

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Foreign Affairs N.Enkhtaivan is taking part in the 27thsession of the Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) underway in an online format on December 3-4.
During theDecember 3 plenary meeting, Minister N.Enkhtaivan presented Mongolia’s stance on regional security. In his remarks, the Minister underlined the significance of further closely cooperating with the OSCE in efforts to combat terrorism, cyber crime, and human trafficking, promote human rights and good governance, ensure gender equality, and protect the rights of women and girls.
The Minister also presented the measures the Government of Mongolia is taking against the pandemic and asked European countries to cooperate in supporting the economy, especially agricultural and food production, to prevent the risks and the challenges. He expressed the Mongolian Government’s support for the World Health Organization’s initiative on equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, highlighting the importance of concurrently carrying out vaccinations in all countries.
In the Ministerial Council meeting, Foreign Ministers of more than 40 OSCE member countries are discussing 2020 report of the organization as well as global and regional political and security issues.
