Prime Minister of Mongolia Issues Directive on Tasks to be Implemented in 100 Days
The Government of Mongolia held its regular session on July 24, 2024. The work plan of the Government to be implemented in its first 100 days, the draft of the Joint Government Agreement "Courage for Rapid Development" were presented by the head of the Government Secretariat Uchral Nyam-Osor at the Cabinet meeting, while the draft Resolution on Approving the Government Action Plan for 2024-2028 was presented by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Development Gantumur Luvsannyam.
The draft Agreement "Courage for Rapid Development" includes the reforms and changes intended by the Joint Government. The Agreement is being developed to implement the election platforms of the Mongolian People's Party (MPP), the Democratic Party (DP), and the National Labor Party (HUN) for the 2024 elections of the State Great Khural as part of the implementation of "Vision 2050" and "New Revival Policy", solve the urgent problems and challenges in Mongolia's development more quickly and effectively, and cooperate sustainably.
The draft of the Joint Government Agreement targets the implementation of common goals reflected in the three parties' election platforms, particularly, social policy reform, regional development policy, corruption-free government and strengthening of justice, e-governance, the further development of major projects and programs that included in the MPP's platform, ensuring the protection of private property, securing business and investment environment, and economic freedom, which included in the DP's election platform, and energy liberalization and the reform in the education sector included in the HUN platform.
The Agreement will be concluded soon between the three political parties in the Joint Government. The Cabinet decided to rediscuss the drafts of the Joint Government Agreement and the Government Action Plan for 2024-2028 at the next Cabinet meeting for approval after coherence between these documents is ensured.
Also, Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene presented to the Ministers the Directive on Projects and Measures Necessary to be Commenced within 100 days of the Government and gave assignments.
