The Mongolian Cultural Day was held at the Istanbul University
The Embassy in cooperation with the Mongolian Study Center of the Istanbul University organized the Mongolian Cultural Day at the Istanbul University. During the event the Mongolian students studying in Istanbul performed with the traditional musical instrument Horse-head fiddle “Morin khuur” and the traditional dance “Ayagatai bielgee”. Furthermore, the audience enjoyed a short documentary named “How to make Airag-the traditional Mongolian national beverage” and degustation of the Mongolian fried dumplings “khuushuur” been made.
The Mongolian Study Center has been opened in 2019 at the Istanbul University. Currently, more than 100 Turkish students have been taking classes on the Mongolian language and traditional transcript.
