Parliamentarian delegation led Mr. B. Enkh-Amgalan, the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Security and Foreign Policy of the State Great Khural, upon the invitation of Mr. Fuat Oktay, Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye /GNAT/, paid a visit in Ankara on September 19-23, 2023.  

During the visit Mr. B. Enkh-Amgalan, the Chairman of the Standing Committee had fruitful and candid discussions with his colleagues Mr. Fuat Oktay, Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Mr. Hulusi Akar, Chairperson of the Committee on Defence and Mr. Ibrahim Ufuk Kayanak, Head of the Turkish-Mongolian friendship group in the GNAT. Broad spectrum issues of bilateral cooperation between the two countries and further development possibilities were discussed.

In anticipation of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Turkiye, which will be celebrated in 2024, parties emphasized the importance of increasing the frequency of high-level reciprocal visits and upgrading the level of relations into a strategic partnership. Parties agreed that the close cooperation of the legislative bodies, including the Standing Committees, Friendship Groups is vital for the further development of bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.
