H.E. Mr. Munkhbayar Gombosuren, Ambassador of Mongolia to the Republic of Turkiye visited the Research Center on Turkic Studies of the Izmir Katip Celebi University (IKCU) that was established in 2019 thanks to the cooperation efforts between the IKCU and the Mongolian National University (MUIS). The Ambassador was welcomed by Dr., Prof. Yasin Bulduklu, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Dr., Prof. Şaban Doğan, the head of the Research Center on Turkic Studies and other officials. During the meeting, H.E. Mr Munkhbayar pointed out that the cooperation between the IKCU and the MUIS have been strengthening by implementing student exchange program and joint projects in the field of archeology and history. Specially, the joint project on the archeological excavation of the Aladag Palace of Hulagu Khan in Van province further strengthens bilateral cooperation between two universities, he noted.

Later, Ambassador G.Munkhbayar attended the opening ceremony of the 92-nd Izmir International Fair to be held between September 1-10, 2023 under the theme of “Youth”.
