CONSTRUCTION OF ADVANCED WATER PURIFICATION PLANT CONTRACT SIGNED BETWEEN TURKEY’S MAPA GROUP AND MILLENIUM CHALLENGE ACCOUNT-MONGOLIA
MAPA Inşaat ve Ticaret Company of Turkey signed a 93 million USD worth contract with Millennium Challenge Account-Mongolia upon winning a bid for the “Construction Works of an Advanced Water Purification Plant (AWPP) and SCADA Controls” in Ulaanbaatar
The MAPA Group, which will be responsible for the construction of the AWPP, has extensive experience and successfully completed over 200 infrastructure projects of large dams, hydropower plants water treatment plants and airports particularly in Turkey, Middle East, East Asia and Africa.
Following two decades of rapid growth, Ulaanbaatar faces an imminent shortage of potable water. Therefore, the construction of AWPP project will tackle this pressing problem and will support the recycling and reuse of a large quantity of wastewater from the central wastewater treatment plant through the construction of a wastewater recycling plant, pumping stations and associated pipelines to convey the recycled water to water storage facilities near combined heating and power plants.
