VISIT TO THE TURKISH MANUSCRIPTS INSTITUTE
Ambassador Bold Ravdan visited Turkish Manuscripts Assocation in Istanbul. During the meeting with Prof. Dr. Muhittin Macit, Director of the Institute, Ambassador proposed to co-organize a exhibition showcasing Mongolian and Turkish caligraphies as a way to enrich mutual understanding between the two peoples. Prof. Macit earnestly welcomed the idea and introduced activities of his institution. He highlighted Rashid al-Din’s chronicles traslated from Arabic amongst collection of over 2250 books, of which 500 are rare, that the Institute has restored and printed.
