Ambassador R.Bold also visited Ege University in Izmir, and met its Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Budak. Briefing Dr. Necdet with Mongolia and Turkey relations and its prospects, Ambassador R.Bold proposed to instigate cooperation between his University with the University of Science and Technology of Mongolia by renewing the MOU established in 2007 with broader means. Rector Nected welcomed the proposal by expressing his eagerness to cooperate more closely and hence increasing number of students from Mongolia. Currently, there are 25 students from Mongolia studying in the Ege University. 

Afterwards, Ambassador visited the Faculty of Engineering of Ege University, which is the only school in Turkey specialized in leather engineering to see its multi functioned laboratories designed to test leather quality and structure. He had fruitful talk with Prof. Dr. Behzat Oral Bitlizli, Dean of the Faculty, to instigate cooperation in more meaningful and tangible manners such as educating and preparing future technologist and specialists in leather industry of Mongolia, which is essential and prominent sector, exchanging expertise and technologies between the two countries.
