“HISTORICAL TIES BETWEEN TURKEY AND MONGOLIA” CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD
H.E. R. Bold, Ambassador of Mongolia to Turkey visited Katip Celebi University in Izmir, and had engaging conversations with Prof. Dr. Saffet Kose, Rector of the University and some of the faculty members on possible ways of strengthening cooperation in education sector between Mongolia and Turkey. The University has established direct cooperation with three of the Mongolian Universities – National University of Mongolia, University of Science and Technology and University of Health Science. Rector Saffet noted that University is expecting 10 students from Mongolia to study in School of Medicine and 15 students in School of Turkology this school year. Also he updated Ambassador of its plan organizing a Conference themed “Historical Ties between Turkey and Mongolia” and invited him to take part. Ambassador R.Bold also emphasized areas of tourism and medicine suggesting to initiate video conference between University of Health Science and the Faculty of Health Science of Katip Celebi especially in nursing. Education sector is one of the prominent areas of bilateral relations between the two countries and up to date over 1200 Mongolian students graduated as per scholarship program provided by Turkish Government whereas 1200 students studied with their private funding.
