THE CHAIRMAN OF THE STATE GREAT HURAL (PARLIAMENT) OF MONGOLIA ATTENDS 23RD EURASIAN ECONOMIC SUMMIT
The Eurasian Economic Summit, which has been held annually in Istanbul today is organized online. H.E. G.Zandanshatar, the Chairman of the State Great Hural of Mongolia participated as a keynote speaker in the summit under the theme “New world after the Coronavirus”, which gathered dignitaries from 44 countries. Participants talked about new world order after pandemic, especially its economic effects, and how the countries deal with it. In his address to the economic platform session Mr. Chairman mentioned that in the times of pandemic, every country is facing the necessity to cooperate in strengthening global solidarity, sharing scientific knowledge, renewing multilateral cooperation, recovering from damages caused by the pandemic and reviving its economy.
Moreover, he emphasized that due to the pandemic, as well as the trade war, currency feud, IV industrial Revolution, and technological competition between countries, the outlook of current world order is changing. Keeping this in mind Mongolia has defined its long term policy until 2050 and in 30 years from now it aims to become a country with sustainable growth of economy reaching citizen, poverty drastically alleviating, diversifying economy and fully secured economic reliability.
Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation has been hosting the Eurasian Economic summit since 1998 and Mongolian high level officials such as former President P.Ochirbat, President N.Bagabandi, former Prime Minister R.Amarjargal, Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy of Mongolia D.Zorigt participated respectively.
There is a Memorandum of Cooperation between Peace and Friendship Organization of Mongolia and Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation signed in 2016.
