Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has held a phone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia N.Enkhtaivan and congratulated him on his appointment.

Noting the expanding Mongolia-Turkey relations, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu emphasized the importance of increasing the trade volume between the countries.

For his part, Foreign Minister N.Enkhtaivan expressed his satisfaction with the current level of bilateral relations and cooperation, and conveyed a request to render necessary assistance and support to Mongolian nationals who are not being able to return to Mongolia due to quarantine regime and border closures caused by COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ministers exchanged views on intensifying economic cooperation, increasing trade and investment, including the development of the agricultural processing industry, and agreed to discuss these issues at the meeting of the Mongolian-Turkish Joint Committee and the consultative meeting of Foreign Ministries of the two countries.
