“ERDENES MGL” LLC MEETS WITH NUROL HOLDING
A delegation led by Mr. Gankhuu Purevjav, a former Minister of Energy of Mongolia and current CEO of “Erdenes MGL” LLC, a fully state-owned mining company of Mongolia, met with Mr. Oğuz Çarmıklı, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nurol Holding and Mr. Hasan Yücel, General Manager of TÜMAD (Nurol’s gold mining company), to discuss about the investment possibilities. TÜMAD operates on two gold mining sites in Çanakkale and Balıkesir respectively, and produces about 18 percent of Turkey’s total annual gold production, 27 tons. Meanwhile, “Erdenes MGL” LLC represents the Government of Mongolia and manages the nation’s strategically important mineral (gold, copper, coking coal, lignite and uranium) deposits.
